We spent our last days in Spain in the Pyrenees, where we tried taking a small road across the mountains to Andorra. Unfortunately, the pass was still closed due to potential snow. Nevertheless, sleeping close to the barrier gave us a beautiful view during sunset and sunrise. After a short drive to the main road, we arrived in Andorra and realized that this country seemed to offer the opposite of what we were looking for. So, we left the same day to head towards France.
It was our way back home, where we wanted to repair some issues with the car. Our feelings were mixed. Even though we knew the stopover in Germany would hopefully be short, we did not feel prepared for it. On the one hand, we wanted to start the upcoming work, which stressed us out. On the other hand, we wanted to take our time and make the most of the journey.
A strange time was experienced between much driving, organizing different things, and trying to make the best out of everything. Besides visiting a lost place and one big city, we didn’t explore much of France. We decided to take a detour through Switzerland to see more of the Alps. Since we have friends who live there, we spent some time in this country. We even made new friends, which resulted in an unexpected encounter with the police. Fortunately, we foreigners were not the focus of their investigation into who was camping in the woods. Switzerland is not a good country for camping unofficially. It’s even very hard to find a place for parking, no matter where you are.
